Established in 1999 in Perth, Australia, Aohua Education and Migration initially opened a representative office in Shanghai the same year. With the continuous expansion of its services and growing business demand, the company progressively founded Aohua International Education, the International Business Academy, Aohua International Human Resources, and Aohua Mining, evolving into today's diversified Aohua Group.

Aohua History

1999

Aohua Migration was established in June 1999 and is a registered migration agent approved by the Australian Department of Home Affairs (MARA 0003341).

2002

Aohua was appointed as the regional representative for Curtin University in China and launched an inter-university exchange program with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Subsequently, Aohua was authorized as an official agent for Australia's Group of Eight (five-star universities) and several other four-star public universities.

2003

The first cohort of 28 students from the 1+1 Master of Accounting program at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics successfully arrived at Curtin University to begin their studies.

2004

Successfully established an inter-university exchange program between Nanjing Audit University and Curtin University. In the same year, Aohua was appointed as the regional representative for Edith Cowan University (ECU) in China.

Aohua successfully facilitated the establishment of an inter-university exchange program between Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Curtin University.

2006

Aohua was appointed as the regional representative for The University of Western Australia (UWA) in China, further expanding its collaboration with Australia's top universities.

2007

Aohua Group was awarded the “Outstanding Contribution to WA-China Relations” by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia (CCIWA), with the honor presented by former Australian Prime Minister Mr. Kevin Rudd. In the same year, the Group's Chairman, Mr. Zhang Shengquan, was named “WA SME Person of the Year” by CCIWA and featured in the leading local newspaper The West Australian.

2008

Aohua became an officially recognized institution and partner of the Chinese Ministry of Education in Australia for Chinese academic credential verification—one of only three organizations in the country with this status, alongside VETASSESS and the University of Sydney. In the same year, Aohua was also appointed as the regional representative for Murdoch University in China.

2012

Aohua successfully facilitated the establishment of both undergraduate and postgraduate cooperation programs between Yanshan University and Curtin University, fostering multi-level academic collaboration between the two institutions.

2015

Aohua successfully facilitated inter-university exchange programs between South China Agricultural University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, and Monash University—strengthening partnerships between leading Chinese institutions and one of Australia’s top universities. To support its growing national operations, Aohua established regional offices in Melbourne and Brisbane.

2016

Aohua successfully facilitated the establishment of several Sino-Australian joint education programs, including partnerships between Shenyang Institute of Engineering and Murdoch University, Hebei Normal University and the University of Technology Sydney, as well as Jiangnan University and Monash University—further strengthening academic collaboration between China and Australia.

2017

UWA and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) officially signed a Foundation Program cooperation agreement, marking an important step forward in the field of international education and providing Chinese students aspiring to study in Australia with systematic academic pathways and support.

2019

In 2019, marking the 20th anniversary of Aohua's establishment, the company successfully facilitated a Sino-Australian joint education program between Sichuan International Studies University and the University of Newcastle, further deepening collaboration in the higher education sector between China and Australia.

2020

Aohua successfully facilitated a Sino-Australian joint education program between Wuhan Institute of Technology and Curtin University, continuing to promote international academic collaboration. In the same year, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Aohua demonstrated its social responsibility by donating to partner universities in Hubei, showing care and support for students and faculty in China.

AOHUA continued to promote friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between Chinese and Australian universities.

On May 8, Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) became the first Chinese university delegation to visit Australia after the pandemic, visiting the University of Newcastle. Jiangnan University also visited Monash University.

Shortly after, the University of Science and Technology Liaoning visited the University of Western Australia (UWA) and signed a cooperation agreement.

Meanwhile, Australian universities also resumed visits to China — Curtin University visited Jiangsu University of Technology, Sichuan Normal University, Wuhan Institute of Technology, and Nanjing Audit University, further strengthening bilateral collaboration and trust.

AOHUA continued to play a pivotal role in facilitating visits and collaborations between Chinese and Australian universities. With AOHUA’s active coordination, a delegation from the Communication University of China visited the University of Technology Sydney (UTS)

The University of Western Australia (UWA) visited Beijing Normal University, Beijing Language and Culture University, and the Communication University of China.

Meanwhile, the University of Queensland (UQ) visited South China Agricultural University, Sichuan International Studies University, and Beijing University of Technology, and in the same year, UQ formally signed a cooperation agreement with South China Agricultural University, further strengthening educational and research collaboration.

In 2025, AOHUA built on its steady progress in facilitating China–Australia university exchanges by further advancing the establishment of new collaborative projects.

With AOHUA's coordination, delegations from Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing Audit University, and Shanxi University of Finance and Economics visited Curtin University.
